How To Write Your First Goblin Network Article

This is the third article in a series of FAQ articles explaining how to use the Goblin Network Interactive Magazine. In this article we will explain how to write your first article at GoblinNetwork.com.

After you have logged into GoblinNetwork.com you will see your Dashboard. Depending on what level you’ve joined GoblinNetwork it may look a little different. If you’re an Affiliate, you will only see the Affiliate Tab to check your Affiliate Stats. If you are a Publisher, you will not see the Affiliate Tab and if you are a Promoter you will see tabs for Manage Articles, Manage Ads, View Ad Stats and Affiliate Stats.

You’re now ready to write your article, so click on the Write tab next to the Dashboard tab. Once you do that your screen will change to look like this…

You will notice the box for the Title. This is where you decide what to call your Article. Like the name of this article is How To Write Your First Article. Choose a title that is interesting and relevant to your article that you want to talk about. You can even create a series of articles like we are doing here to show you how to use GoblinNetwork.com.

The next box is labeled Post and this is where you type the text for your article. It works similar to a word processor, complete with the ability to add bullets, numbering, bold text, etc. through the toolbar. You can even click the Add media button and add a graphic as we have done in this article. You can highlight text and click the link feature to link to another website. There is even a spellchecker to check your spelling! Experiment with the Visual Toolbar directly under the words Post. You can also click on HTML if you want to insert HTML code into your article.

To the right of the Post section is the SAVE, PUBLISH and Delete post buttons. This is where you can save your article. We have AutoSave feature turned on, so your article should be saved in the Draft section. You can see your Drafts under the Manage Tab, if you save your article and want to come back later to edit it. You can also PREVIEW your article. That’s at the top right of this page called the Preview this Post tab. You will want to Save your article first and then Preview it before you Publish. The Preview Tab will not show up until you start writing your article. Notice it is in this second screenshot…

Beneath this section is where you make your category selection and it looks like the graphic below. Once you are finished writing your article, select the categories you want your article to appear in. Try to limit your categories to two and make sure they are relevant to your article’s content. Once you publish your article you’ll be ready to place your ads.

Click the save button, preview your post and if you like the way it looks, click the Publish button. Your article will go live to GoblinNetwork.com!
